Talk:Nemesis (ROTF)
If the Fallen was on the ROTF Nemesis the whole time, what happened to him when Starscream's starship was destroyed at the end of ROS? Starscream's ship launched from Cybertron to pursue the fleeing Autobot ship. When I brought up the issue of ship names before the site crash, I was informed by Alex Milne that the ROS Decepticon battlecruiser wasn't the Nemesis. Also, Soundwave and the new Decepticons arrived to Earth in Alliance issue 2 aboard an unseen starship, which was most likely the Nemesis. It's prossible that Dan Khanna and Andrew Griffith just recycled Milne's ROS starship design for Defiance issue 4.
Also, this page needs to be cleaned up. The writing is a little stilted and there's some problems in tense. --FFN 09:58, 28 April 2009 (EDT)
- Apparently there's two ships named Nemesis. --ItsWalky 10:04, 28 April 2009 (EDT)
- I didn't know it was destroyed in ROS (I confess I didn't read it). Is that the same as Dreadwing's ship that got blasted through the space bridge back to Mars? So the relic might have survived the blast and is on Mars? Or was the ship at Trypticon when Trypticon was destroyed? So far the plot summaries and the Nemesis (Movie) article don't make it clear.
- They do look the same, and the Decepticons built the Relic's Nemesis from scratch specially for their purpose and Bumblebee said he never saw anything like it. The chances of the two ships just looking the same on purpose are minimal. If their looking alike is an art error, that is noteworthy. - Starfield 10:52, 28 April 2009 (EDT)
- My updated versions of the Nemesis (Movie) and Ark (Movie) articles were lost during the crash. The ship Dreadwing steals to make his getaway looks pretty much like Starscream's ship, so it's probably safe to assume it's the same ship. We later see Soundwave in Alliance issue 2 searching the debris and seeing the imprint of Frenzy's body (that Starscream presumably retrieved from the wreckage).
- As for the Fallen surviving the blast, the sequence of events doesn't fit if we go with your theory that both ships are the same. Megatron encountered the ROTF Nemesis in space. He flew ahead of both the Ark and Starscream's group. Starscream's ship was launched from Cybertron, and was WAY behind the Ark and Megatron. They only arrived on Mars thousands of years later.
- As I said, it's probable that the Defiance artists simply recycled Milne's design. Milne had previously told me he didn't intend for Starscream's battlecruiser to be the Nemesis, and obviously, he was aware at the time that the actual IDW Nemesis would appear in Defiance. --FFN 14:18, 28 April 2009 (EDT)
Location
It was only on-screen briefly in the movie, but I had the impression that the Nemesis could be on any moon of a ringed gas giant, not specifically Saturn. It would explain how Megatron was able to return with reinforcements so quickly, mind you. 137.195.68.169 07:22, 2 July 2009 (EDT)
