- Devilbat is a Beastformer in the Generation 1 continuity family.
Devilbat is one of the many Beastformers who joined the insurgent army under Alligatoron raised by Galvatron in order to aid his Decepticons in conquering the formerly-peaceful planet Beast. His role in the Decepticon-allied Beastformer forces is an airmobile soldier. He also holds the rank of Emperor of Ringostan, the country on whose shores he was born, under King B-Fox... who fights on the opposite side in the war. Okay then.

- Devilbat is an anthropomorphic brown bat in high-tech midnight blue armor. His left hand has been replaced with a hook. He comes with his "Devil Waver" poleaxe. He has one of three rubsigns on his left wing (!), revealing the elemental power of fire, water, or wood.
Beastformers
- Later in 1987, Devilbat was reissued in the third wave of Beastformers, in new packaging with no Transformers logos or insignia. His bio card still featured the Decepticon symbol.
