Optimus Prime is inducted into the Alternity to face a dire threat.
Synopsis
The Autobot forces are investigating a mystery. Starting with the most remote planets in the solar system containing the Earth, large marks akin to the claws of a gargantuan beast have begun to appear. Following the marks, the Autobots are eventually led to Earth itself, and Vancouver, Canada. Led by Optimus Prime the Autobots arrive on the scene.
In the skies above, a circle of light forms. Becoming clearer, it resolves into a shape like a race track, with a silver sports car traveling along it. Optimus Prime seemed to recognize it, and commanded the Autobots to stand down.
Prime revealed that the visitor was another iteration of himself, an Optimus Prime from an alternate universe. He said that he had encountered the being before, and had promised it that at the appointed time he would aid it against the threat of the great beast Hytherion.
The visitor opened a portal, through which a strange apparatus emerged and latched onto Optimus Prime. In short order, Prime was reformatted into a new body strongly resembling the visitor's. His perceptions expanded, Prime looked to the skies where the horrid form of Hytherion was now visible to him!

Notes
- Although this story takes place in a separate timeline (or universal stream, to use the in-story parlance), much of the backstory for the Alternity franchise originates with the later stages of the Binaltech storyline. The existence of the Alternity was first revealed in the story chapter included with the 2007 release of Black Convoy; the substance of their being, Alternium, was introduced in the chapter that came with 2008's Arcee, which also introduced the racetrack-like teleportation system seen in this story, the Timaeus drive. Only with the release of "From Here to Alternity" did we truly learn what the Alternity was. Subsequent Alternity chapters would later draw further connections between the world seen in this storyline and the Binaltech universe.
- "From Here to Alternity" is the first piece of fiction outside of the stories associated with the Transformers Collectors' Club to use the universal stream classification system created by Greg Sepelak and Trent Troop for the stories they have produced for the club.
