Autobot campaign

In 2009, after a string of Decepticon victories on Earth, Optimus Prime reluctantly agreed to provide NEST with Cybertronian technology, one example of which was the Axiom Gun. Revenge of the Fallen (video games)

Following their journey to Egypt, the Decepticons discovered that the Autobot collaborators had given the human insects the Axiom Gun. Furious, Megatron ordered the Decepticons to destroy the weapon. Revenge of the Fallen (video games)

Notes

• The Axiom Gun's design is clearly based on the railgun used by United States Navy to destroy Devastator in the Revenge of the Fallen movie. However, its presence as a weapon given as a gift by the Autobots contradicts information in the film, where Seymour Simmons says that the railgun was developed by Sector Seven based on studies of Megatron. Also, Optimus Prime flat-out refused to share weapons technology with Humanity because he could not trust them enough to use it properly.
