Remote Patrol Six was scanning the Plait Expanse in order to find a way to escape Cybertron. They were also harbouring Hound from Optimus Prime, as Hound had faked his death so he wouldn't have to go to Earth.
While they didn't find a way to escape, Sandstorm did discover a signal coming from Zone Y-AT. Hound recognized the signal and suggested that they send someone to check it out. Camshaft was eager to go, but Hound suggested that Downshift go instead. When Camshaft protested about Downshift "getting the glory" when he was weak and "not even one of—", Hound said that was the point, that 'bots like the rest of them needed to stick together. Especially since Hound had a feeling that he knew what was coming. Do Over
Upon arriving at Zone Y-AT, Downshift discovered what had caused the signal: the long-exiled Alpha Trion arriving back at his old laboratory. Unfortunately, before he could report back to the others, he was killed by Alpha Trion. Reunification: Part 1
