Playskool is Hasbro's brand name for toys designed for small children, famous for products such as Mr. Potato Head. The First Transformers line was produced under this brand, as were the Go-Bots (not to be confused with the GoBots).

In Transformers fandom, "Playskool" is also a loosely defined pejorative (sometimes written "Playskoolish") used to deride toys deemed childish. This tends to include stylized "cartoonish" designs, bright colors, gimmicks, and generally anything that was not present in the speaker's favorite Transformers when he/she was between the ages of 8 and 12. How this will affect children growing up on Generation 2 Beast Wars Beast Machines Robots in Disguise Armada Energon Cybertron the new movies Animated has yet to be seen.
