Water-squirting gimmick

Water-squirting is a gimmick were a toy is made so that it can shoot water out of his gun or by other means(beast-mode face or other). Most of the time, filling the gun happens by sqeezing the soft blader of the gun to absorb the water untill the blader is filled, and then squeezing the gun again to shoot. This simulates a laser gun more then a projectile weapon would.

This gimmick was used on the original Cheetor toy and the Beast Wars Megatron, but after that got used sparingly on toys, with the most present use of it on the voyager Optimus Prime.

Water and fans

Wile the gimmick itself is a fairly good and tought out for children to have a shooting projectal without loosing the missile (and shooting parents in the face by suprise), most colectors dispise it to get there toys even near water, most likely because this will cause rust on the metal parts of the figure. Some people just can have fun with there toys.
