I take it the BWII Magnaboss gets his own page, but does it get a (BWII) or (BW2) tag? --FortMax 02:10, 8 July 2006 (UTC)

Damned if I know. Just ask the admins, I've been fucking up those (...) -tags left and right. However, there's only been ONE Magna Boss, right? So then that would mean there's no need for a (...) designation? --DrSpengler 02:20, 8 July 2006 (UTC)

There are two Magnabosses, the Beast Wars guy composed of Ironhide, Silverbolt, and Prowl and the Beast Wars II guy composed of Skywarp, Santon, and Lio Junior. I would personally think the Beast Wars II tag should be (BWII), for consistant use of the Roman numeral. --KilMichaelMcC 02:40, 8 July 2006 (UTC)

Gender

That ridiculous art aside, Skywarp is not a girl. He was voiced by a guy - not a young guy, for that matter.

Listening to Skywarp's voice on the Beast Wars Second LioConvoy In Eminent Danger movie, he's not trying to play a falsetto or anything, either.

As well, Skywarp's typical animation model doesn't look anywhere near that girly.

See here

I don't know what TV Magazine was going for with that pic - maybe Skywarp was meant to be a girl at one point, but the final character did not end up as one.

The "Skywarp is a girl" thing is an unfortunate remnant of Neale Davidson's activity in the fandom. He was adamant about Skywarp and Indy Heat being female based on... I don't know, elves. But they are not.

Simple mistake for Indy Heat, based on some confusion that a friend of mine stationed in Okinawa had. For Skywarp, I started writing the BWII based on early BWII info, including the TV Magazine spot. When it was patently obvious that the anime had made Skywarp male after all, I had already had Skywarp as female - so kept it that way. Not sure what that REMAINS a point of contention, since it was made clear THEN, and it's far from the only change I made in BWII for my completely unofficial and totally fandom fics. --Vanguard

Speng, again, I apologize if it seems like I'm coming down hard on you today. I don't mean to be. But it'd go against my grain not to point these things out.

(Also, strictly speaking, I think this might be Skywarp (BWII) or (BW2).)--Monzo 02:33, 8 July 2006 (UTC)

  • Heh, no, it's cool. I remember watching BWII and being pretty damned positive it was a guy. Then I saw that art and heard all the hub-bub, added with the Airazor fiasco (Airzaor being both male and female in Japan depending on the media) and I just settled on "chick". I added a note on gender just to curb confusion. --DrSpengler 03:08, 8 July 2006 (UTC)

Which toy would that be?

I'm sorry, but it says Skywarp's toy is a slight repaint of Beast Wars Silverbolt, transforming into a bald eagle, but which Silverbolt toy would that be? -- Ziyad 17:08, 24 August 2009 (EDT)

The one that turns into an eagle, of course. (It's a new form for G1 Silverbolt, thanks to wacky continuity twists.)--Apcog 18:56, 24 August 2009 (EDT)
Oh, I see. I assumed "Beast Wars Silverbolt" meant, well, Beast Wars Silverbolt... Thanks for clearing that up! -- Ziyad 19:15, 24 August 2009 (EDT)
