Soundblaster is a Planet X Decepticon from the Cyebrtron portion of the Unicron Trilogy.
Soundblaster wears the badge of the Decepticons, but his allegiance is to Planet X and its goals. He is partnered withthe Mini-Con Hell Buzzsaw.
(Note: Soundblaster's status as a separate character from Soundwave is debatable, as there is no official biographical information on him whatsoever at this time. However, his being a new character can be extrapolated from Takara's naming conventions; in the overwhelming majority of cases, recurring toy-characters only undergo a name change upon receiving a new bodyform, same-mold redecos typically -but not always- only receive a modifier on top of their old name. The only known exception to this pattern in twenty years of Japanese Transformers is Master Megatron from the Japanese version of Cybertron, who became Master Galvatron despite his upgrade being only a redeco of his previous toy.)
