Transformers: Alliance is a 4-part comic series published by IDW Publishing which originally ran from December 2008–March 2009. It serves as both a sequel to The Reign Of Starscream and as a lead in to Revenge of the Fallen, and as such is in direct continuity with the film. Alliance and another four-issue story arc called Transformers: Defiance are together known as Transformers: Destiny.

Overview

Prior to the Mission City battle, Wreckage is experimented upon by Sector Seven. After the Mission City battle, the Autobots help Captain Lennox eliminate rogue 'bots brought to life by the All Spark, and then leave before Sector Seven arrives. Sector Seven wants help from Lennox, who has agreed to help the Autobots. While Barricade sends out a signal for Decepticon help, Starscream plans his revenge.When the time comes to dump the robot remains in the Laurentian Abyss, Optimus travels with Jazz's remains, leaving a fragment of the All Spark with Sector Seven. The shard reactivates Wreckage, but Starscream and Bumblebee arrive in time to help. Starscream kills Wreckage, and, receiving a signal from Soundwave, goes to rendezvous with the latter.
