The Binaltech Asterisk online comics were the official fiction released to accompany the Binaltech Asterisk toyline. The comics were released on Takara's website in 2006, consisting of only 3 chapters. Each comic was animated in flash, though the animated segments were limited to just vibrating panels and close-ups for dramatic effect. Comic length ran from 5 to 6 illustrated pages, with the dialogue and narrative text placed in a paragraph at the bottom rather than overlayed atop the artwork.

The comics were illustrated by Naoto Tsushima and written by Masato Takahashi.

BTA 1: Red Alert Meets Ai

Big scary bot-man will eat me!

After shooing the kitty-cat Chear off Red Alert's hood, Officer Ai Kuruma received a call about a little boy who'd gotten lost on his way to the market. Ai (dreaming of a commendation for finding the boy) followed the sound of crying, only to find it was Chear again, up in a tree. She climbed up the tree to rescue the kitty, but fell from the high branches. Thankfully, Red Alert caught her and the cat in time.

The cat scampered off, and the pair followed him...and ran across the lost little boy. But then, Chear stole a fish from the boy's grocery bag. Red Alert set his detector from "little boy" to "fish", and the two gave chase...

BTA 2: Sunstreaker Meets Junko

While going for a drive with his partner (Junko reading a magazine behind the wheel), Sunstreaker was egged into a race with a human. Despite Junko's protests, Sunstreaker engaged in a very fast and very dangerous race, scaring Junko half to death. While making a sharp turn, though, Sunstreaker destroyed a roadsign. Junko stopped the race and proceeded to chew the Autobot out.

BTA 3: Broadblast Meets Lumina

While covering an auto show where Broadblast was operating undercover, TV Announcer Lumina Hoshi was unfortunately present when a large section of lighting broke free from the ceiling and came hurtling down upon a crowd of people. Luckily, Broadblast was able to transform in time and catch the lights before they could squash everyone. Broadblast was then left to nervously explain his presence to the onlookers as Lumina apologized for the technical difficulties to her viewers.
