The Autobots crash land on the Planet of Junk and run into its hostile inhabitants.

Synopsis

Perceptor, Arcee, Springer and Blurr are working on mapping down the universe when their ship gets hit by a meteor rain. To repair the damage taken by the ship's engines, Perceptor advises making an emergency landing. They safely land on the nearest planet, which Perceptor deduces is the Junk Planet.

While the others start repairs, glad that they at least landed on a planet full of spare parts, Blurr goes off to explore the surrounding area. Unbeknownst to him, he's being observed by three of the planet's natives. Their leader, Wreck-Gar, becomes impressed with Blurr's speed and decides he wants the Autobot's engine for himself. In an attempt to obtain it, the Junkions attack the Autobots.

Despite the Autobots' efforts to drive their attackers off, the Junkions appear to be winning when Hot Rod and Kup arrive, searching for their friends. While Hot Rod immediately wants to join the fight, he is stopped by Kup, who seems to know a little about the Junkions. Armed with the Universal Greeting and an Energon Stick as gift, Kup then approaches Wreck-Gar, who returns the greeting.

Now friendly, the Junkions help repairing the Autobots' spaceship and wave their new allies goodbye when they leave.
