Alliance Atlantis

Alliance Atlantis was a Canadian media production and distribution company based in Toronto. In addition to handling the (Canadian) television distribution of Beast Wars, they also released several VHS tapes and DVDs of the series.

Their VHS releases are unique in that each episode does not have its own intro and ending. Instead, a single intro is used with the Beast Wars logos being overlayed by a shinier version of the logo with the compilation name below it. The credits are all shifted to the end of the tape, along with a brief set for the VHS itself, where they are run consecutively with the theme music looping in the background. No footage is added or removed to create links between the beginning of one episode and the end of the next. The first three tapes were released individually and later on in a three pack. Optimus Lives! oddly bucked the first three tapes' trend of being packaged in a cardboard sleeve, instead coming in a plastic clamshell case.

Alliance Atlantis also released the first season of the Beast Wars series on DVD in Canada in 2005, along with four individual DVD volumes. The company was assimilated into Canwest Global Communications in 2007.
