A Predator is an alien freelance peacekeeping agent from the Earthforce portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

A Predator has reptilian hands and carries some kind of pistol with a laser-sight. It is not averse to killing for profit.

While Starscream was wandering alone in the Louisiana bayous, a Predator aimed its pistol at his, er, cockpit. It was intent on claiming the bounty Megatron and Shockwave had put on Starscream's head, but since Starscream survived we may assume its attempt on his life was unsuccessful. Assassins

• A Predator was not explicitly named on the cover to issue #284, but in issue #293's letters page Dreadwind confirms its identity.
• Predators are, of course, the primary antagonists of the Predator movie franchise.
• The Transformers Animated character Lockdown seems to have been somewhat inspired by the Predator.
