Nightracer (G1)
Nightracer is an Decepticon in the Generation 2 continuity.
Nightracer is a female Decepticon and one of the best sharpshooters in the Decepticon ranks. Aloof and a loner, Nightracer is often considered arrogant and distant.
She's apparently pained to be included in the Gobot subgroup of Decepticons, though her exclusive nature made her highly sought-after for a time.
Fiction
Nightracer has never appeared in any officially-created fiction. The only glimpse of her character is the verbose biography given with the figure's release.
Toys
Generation 2
Nightracer was a BotCon 1995 exclusive character. She was a black and yellow repaint of the Gobot mold shared with High Beam and Bumblebee (G2), but was further modified with hand-painted blue stripes on the sides of the hood, and a custom-made Decepticon sigil sticker on the center of the hood.
Nightracer bears the unique distinction of being the first Hasbro-made female Transformers toy, though the character concept was created independantly by BotCon 1995's coordinator Raksha.
Several years later, a large batch of Nightracer figures were found and summarily sould through EBay. This version of the toy is identical to the BotCon exclusive, with the exceptions of the hand-painted details and Decepticon sigil sticker.
Footnotes
There is some minor debate on the rights to the character of Nightracer, because the toy was produced independantly of Raksha's character design. As a technicality, though the figure is obviously Hasbro's property, Raksha maintains that Hasbro has no claim on the character design. Though this claim is extremely debatable, Hasbro has yet to pursue the issue, and is unlikely to do so in the future.
