Talk:Scrapmetal (race)

Plural
Is there a canon reason why "Scrapmetal" seems to be invariant in the plural in this article (like deer: 1 deer, 2 deer)? Khajidha 18:32, 22 December 2009 (EST)Note: this only occurs in the opening.
- The toy's Cyber Key Code info established that the plural and singular were the same. The cartoon sometimes adhered to this, and sometimes did not, using "Scrapmetals" (both ways are used in episode 31, for example). - Chris McFeely 18:49, 22 December 2009 (EST)
- Okay, it just seemed somewhat strange seeing it on the page that way. I was going to change it but wanted to make sure it was not intentional. It seems that it was intentional, so I will not make any changes at this time. However, the rest of the article seems not to follow this usage. Do we wish to vary usage (as the cartoon did) or do we wish to harmonize usage? Khajidha 19:06, 22 December 2009 (EST)
Type, race, or species?
I don't think "race" is the right term. I would suggest moving this to Scrapmetal (species). --KilMichaelMcC 15:50, 24 December 2009 (EST)
- *shrugs* It's a race of Transformer. If you feel "species" is more appropriate, feel free to move it and change all the links. —Interrobang 16:53, 24 December 2009 (EST)
- Well, I think "race" is the wrong term for a group of non-sapient robo-animals. --KilMichaelMcC 18:01, 29 December 2009 (EST)
