In an alternate future, Unicron and his forces have decimated Cybertron. Optimus Prime is dead. Rodimus Prime is dead. And the Matrix is destroyed. Springer has taken the lead of a ragtag group of Autobots, all of whom have had to make serious upgrades to survive. When Unicron came to our Universe, some of these Autobots were thrust through the rift in space with him. Only Optimus Prime knows their true identities, as they go by codenames to prevent paradoxes.
