Important notice about TFCog fansubs!!

[edit]

Taggenagger recently mentioned this on the Allspark forums (Post #7)and I thought it sounded important, since we've been using his BWII and Neo fansubs as resources for episode summaries. The TFCog fansubs are NOT translations. Apparently, they have no translators on staff. The writers simply observe the raw footage and then come up with dialogue that "sounds like" what they "assume" is going on. So be very careful with specifics, because the TFCog fandubs are NOT translations. --DrSpengler 22:48, 20 February 2010 (EST)

Actually, Spengs, I think you and I are the only people who have written BWII and BWN summaries, and I haven't been using the dubs - I've been working off of fansubs by Grifterprime. Have you used the dubs? (As a random aside, Christ, I'd have to hope fandubs that are making up half the dialogue are more entertaining that the real thing, because these BWNeo episodes are fucking murder.) - Chris McFeely 22:57, 20 February 2010 (EST)
Naw, I've been using ancient Ctenosaur Video subs that I've had on bootleg tape for a decade. Didn't know there were subs for the eps you were doing; I thought you were going off the fandubs. My bad! But regardless, I guess its best I got this out there anyway, on the off-chance someone else tries to do episode summaries while using the dubs as a resource. But that's not likely to happen. But still! --DrSpengler 23:08, 20 February 2010 (EST)
Grifter's translations of the Japanese BW series tends to make me leery (fer Chrissake's, "Eien ni" translated to "Yeah yeah"?!). --Lonegamer78 01:49, 21 February 2010 (EST)
