Cannibalism

Cannibalism is the act of feeding off the same species. Transformers may do this as a means of refuelling but sometimes it seems to simply cause a cruel enjoyment for the consumer, as is the case with Tarantulas. Every continuity has a different form of cannibalism ranging from eating the entire body to just consuming the Spark of the victim.
