Toy catalogue comic

During the Predator attack on the Turbomaster base, Snare was almost hit by Autobot fire as Rotorstorm and Stalker faced off.
IDW comics continuity
Snare was part of Skyquake's Predator army during the attack on Garrus-9. It was a routine conquest operation... until Overlord showed up. Snare wet himself at the sight, and that was before the sociopath killed Skyquake and usurped command. He later stood with fellow Predator Stalker as Overlord announced his reign over the former prison, and spent the next three years as witness to the pointless, ongoing "games". In one such game, he saw two Decepticons killed for being careless and was told to bring a wounded Autobot to be "recycled" for fun. He didn't look happy about this. Last Stand of the Wreckers issue 1
In the present-day, he had an epiphany and deliberately released the Autobot war criminal Impactor from his cell. Snare was too scared of Overlord to escape Garrus-9 himself, but Impactor had a reputation which showed he could pull it off and bring back help. Last Stand of the Wreckers issue 2 Snare was present when Overlord confronted Perceptor's team and watched as he executed Rotorstorm. Last Stand of the Wreckers issue 3

Toys
Generation 1

- Snare (Small Predator, 1992)
- Accessories: Missile launcher, 3 missiles
- Snare transforms in to a Grumman X-29 fighter jet, and is equipped with a hand-held spring-loaded missile launcher that can mount on his jet-mode underside (although it cannot be positioned straight forward with the landing gear deployed). His Megavisor slide shows a robot mode image of Boss, firing his trademark turbo-launcher. This slide mechanism allows him to connect to the larger Megavisor scopes on Skyquake and Stalker.
- This toy was also available in Japan as the character Flare Jet.
