John Braden (January 17, 1946 — July 22, 1987) wrote the Kid Stuff storybooks Jaws of Terror and Slaves of the Insecticons. He is also believed to have been the uncredited author of Storms of Destruction, Satellite of Doom and When Continents Collide. Born in North Carolina, he was raised in Florida before moving to New York City in 1966. In the late Sixties, he signed as a country music artist at A&M Records and released a self-titled album. He also wrote numerous musicals, including Down River, Silver Queen, Gulliver's Travels, Roller Derby and Etiquette, and wrote around ninety other albums for Kid Stuff.
