Nightscream (Classics)
| The name or term "Nightscream" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Nightscream (disambiguation). |
- Nightscream is an Autobot-allied Mini-Con from the Classics portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Nightscream is a member of the Clear Skies Team, a trio of fliers who roar into action whenever Decepticon energy-mining threatens the ecology of whatever world they're on. He's kind of a snob and speaks using outdated vocabulary.

Nightscream was among the Mini-Cons created by the Last Autobot to clean up Cybertron for the return of the Autobots. When a processing plant on the planet suddenly exploded, he and the rest of the Clear Skies Team worked to find survivors among the flaming wreckage of the building. It soon transpired that Modus Prime, the Mini-Cons' leader, had perished in the explosion, and Hacksaw brought together a meeting to figure out what had happened. As Strongarm suspected foul play, Nightscream pointed out that no Mini-Con had ever killed another, and demanded proof. Shortly after the meeting, the Clear Skies Team offered to come with Hacksaw as he went to investigate some disturbance at the trans-hyperwave caster tower, but they were turned down.
The death of Modus Prime (and Hacksaw) was eventually revealed to have been caused by Broadside, at which point Nightscream held a short, but dramatic, speech to the crowd present. Sticking to his belief that Mini-Cons don't kill Mini-Cons, he accused the murderer of no longer being a Mini-Con, but a Decepticon! Unfortunately, the revelation caused a riot, and Nightscream was thrown off the dais by Sledge as a Mini-Con civil war broke out on the planet. The New World

Classics
- Clear Skies Team (Mini-Con Team, 2007)
- Nightscream transforms into a robotic winged dragon. He was only available as part of the Clear Skies Team, part of the second wave of Classics Mini-Cons, packaged with his teammates Steel Wind and Thunderwing.
Notes
- Nightscream's incongruous alternate mode when compared to his teammates is due to the Classics Mini-Cons' original release plans: as Cybertron-series Mini-Con two-packs. Nightscream was simply "left over" when his original pack-partner (currently unknown) was re-assigned, so he ended up with two aircraft on the theory "hey, he flies".
- Nightscream's mold was most likely going to be part of the original Decepticon-allied "Predator Attack Team" in the Cybertron line.
