Notes on Fan Reactions

Sorry, but, I prefer McFeely's edit. It's not "fanboy whinging", it's legitimate info that IDW missed the mark by misinterpreting what the fandom's real complaint was. They thought we wanted an explanation; we actually didn't want a change at all.
(Or rather, I guess you could say that McFeely's note stated what the "fanboy whinging" actually consisted of, whereas the current note is misleading on that matter.) --Jeysie 16:35, 3 May 2010 (EDT)

I squint my eyes at any blanket claims of what "the fans" think. Before I changed the note, I skimmed the IDW forum thread about Spotlight: Prowl, and the responses covered a wide spectrum of like to dislike, for a variety of reasons. McFeely's particular reason did come up, but not excessively, and certainly not universally. I'm not familiar enough with the fandom reception as a whole to decide what's worth including in the article, but the original note came across as a personal opinion masquerading as a unanimous response. - Jackpot 16:48, 3 May 2010 (EDT)
It's probably worth my chiming in to point out that I don't particularly care about the Prowl drama, personally. I added it as something I've observed, rather than as a personal issue. - Chris McFeely 16:54, 3 May 2010 (EDT)
