John Hawkins is a Minuteman with the Lincoln Militia Company. He's a fighter in the American War of Independence in 1775.

While headed for Lexington, Massachusetts to fight the British, Hawkins stepped through a time distortion and ended up in Detroit in the twenty-second century. On spotting Bulkhead, he at first took the Autobot to be some mechanical trickery on King George's part.
