Pova is a planet somewhere in the galaxy, whose inhabitants have had dealings with the Cybertronians during their civil war. At some time in the past, a non-interference pact was signed between the Povians and both Transformer factions, ensuring that the Autobots and Decepticons would keep their war off of Pova.

Twenty years ago, however, Impactor and the Wreckers violated that agreement when they pursued the malicious Squadron X to Pova. After a brutal battle, Squadron X was captured and immobilized by the Wreckers. When Impactor called for a pick-up, though, Prowl instructed him to turn the Decepticons loose rather than risk the political fallout with the Povians. Incensed at having pursued the butchers across nine sectors for nothing, Impactor shut himself inside the bunker with Squadron X, and killed all of them in cold blood. Springer reported his actions to Autobot High Command, and Impactor was sentenced to Garrus-9 after being found guilty by Aequitas. Last Stand of the Wreckers issue 5

The official version, which "somehow" got leaked out to Fisitron for his Wreckers: Declassified datatracs, read a bit differently. In the edited sequence of events, the Wreckers killed Squadron X in battle after the Decepticons somehow slipped their bonds and began fighting anew. Last Stand of the Wreckers issue 4
