- Primus apotheosis is a personality disorder from the Generation 1 continuity family.
Primus apotheosis is a recognized Cybertronian personality disorder that affects 2 percent of all Autobots, and even the odd Decepticon. It is a particularly acute form of hero worship characterized by the obsessive need to specifically emulate Optimus Prime. Its major symptoms include the constant quoting of notable sayings by Prime, altering one's physical form to appear more similar to Prime, and even sacrificing one's own life at the earliest opportunity for even the most remotely noble goal.
Primus apotheosis should not be confused with "Ultra Martyr Syndrome" wherein a Cybertronian bearing certain physical qualities of Optimus Prime repeatedly or compulsively attempts to sacrifice his own life (to no avail) in order to protect comrades and serve the narrative, only to later prove completely competent and rational.
