The story opens where the previous issue left off, with Ironhide stranded on Cybertron with no idea as to how he got there, and why he is alive. Wandering around the ruins, he comes across a ancient stadium. A flashback follows of when he used to work security for the races that took place in said stadium. This brings him back to a specific moment when Drag Strip is returning from a hiatus (it's implied he's been hanging with Megatron). Outback interrupts Drag Strip's entrance with some sort of assassination attempt, that Ironhide then quickly halts, grabbing Outback and escorting him to the authorities. The flashback ends and we are returned to present day Cybertron. Wandering around, a couple members of the swarm attack, and Ironhide destroys the two of them. This sends him into a panic, for fear of being the only rational being left on the planet, quickly driving away until he crashes. This time he goes into a dream sequence, where he's just waking up from being repaired by Ratchet and Wheeljack. Outback, Prowl & Optimus Prime haunt him until he comes to, and is greeted by some sort of transforming drone that resembles an earth car, beckoning him to come. The issue ends with the two driving off together to what looks like a lit part of Cybertron.
