Clive Selsby Revill (born April 18, 1930) is a New Zealander actor. While he has been nominated for a Tony Award twice and a Golden Globe once, his most prominent role is the voice of Emperor Palpatine in The Empire Strikes Back...or it was, until he was replaced with Ian McDiarmid in the DVD release. He also provided the voice for Doctor Doom in the video game Marvel: Ultimate Alliance. (Palpatine and Doom. DAMN)

He has made a number of prominent guest appearances on television, on programs like Columbo, Dynasty, and The Closer. He also played Alfred Pennyworth in the first few episodes of Batman: The Animated Series.
