Beastbox is one of Soundwave's minions. Appearing to take the form of a gorilla, or other large ape, he tends to attack in a state of extreme rage.

After humans who were unrelated to NEST intervened in a battle between Autobots and Decepticons, Beastbox was among the minions Soundwave dispatched to attack this new human threat, leaving one alive for interrogation. The operation was not a success, and eventually, Soundwave was forced to pull out his forces, including Beastbox.Nefarious issue 1 Beastbox later joined Buzzsaw, Rumble, Dirt Boss and Ratbat in saving the captured Soundwave from a Bumblebee led Autobot convoy in New Mexico. Beastbox battled Sideswipe until Bumblebee, seeing his team being overwhelmed, pulled out.Nefarious issue 3
