Gears likes complaining. It makes him happy. But more importantly, he knows that his fellow Autobots find his endless litanies amusing rather than annoying. And in a war that's run a few million years, a little laughter can make a big difference, so he keeps at it.

• Autobot Gears (Deluxe, 2009)

Gears is a redeco of Stockade, using Generation 1 Gears' traditional colors for his robot parts while transforming into a silver Cadillac Escalade SUV decorated with gear markings. His main gimmick is a gear-driven punch activated by pulling back on the luggage bar on either forearm. For whatever reason, his chestplate is removable.

Gears is a new non-transformable mold loosely based on his previous Cadillac Escalade SUV toy but is now blue instead of silver, however he does retain the gear motif he had. At the press of a button, he can deploy his weapons located on top, at the side and the front of his vehicle mode while pulling a tab hides the weapons again.
