Blademaster is a helicopter. He was among several Decepticons who found their way to Earth in answer to a call from Starscream.

The Veiled Threat prequel novel

A NEST unit that was investigating a Decepticon sighting in Peru was ambushed on a narrow mountain road by Ruination and Blademaster. During the brief but intense fire-fight that followed, Blademaster was injured by a sabot round to the throat courtesy of Epps, disoriented by several electrical discharges from Petr Andronov's experimental anti-Decepticon weapon, and kicked off the side of the cliff by Knockout. He was unable to transform into helicopter mode in time and crashed into the jungle hundreds of meters below. It is unknown if he survived, but Ruination broke off his attack to retrieve him.
