Sparkplug's Real Name

IIRC, he gives his name as both William and Irving in the comics, one when he's being held captive in issue #3, the other when he's hypnotized by Ratbat in "Car Wash Of Doom!". I forget which one he gives where, though. He also gives his Military I.D. number in issue #3, though. That'd make a nice addition to the article. Like I suggested, his actual name is probably William Irving or Irving William. Perhaps someone with military experience can shed some light on the usage of names by captured troops? (i.e., would he give his birth name or his preferred name, or what?) Either way, I'd assume the name he gave under hypnosis is accurate. -hx 14:00, 16 March 2006 (UTC)

X-BoB has added that Sparkplug is killed in some drafts of hte movie. I've never heard this before, and it does not appear in the script. Can anybody cite a source for this info? X-BoB, do you know where you heard it?

I tought I heard that somewhere but maby not I'll just take that part down for now X-BoB58 02:44, 23 March 2006 (UTC)

Y'know what, X-Bob? If you're going to post it somewhere like this, you need more sources than 'I thought I heard it somewhere'. For example, I thought I heard that your mother's a whore. I guess that's a fact now! --RolonBolon

Thanks, X-Bob.

The OTHER other first name

In Marvel #1 and #2, the sign on his auto shop says "S. Witwicky Auto Repairs." Why would he abbreviate a nickname? "Sparkplug's Auto Repairs" or even "Sparky's" would sound a lot better... 76.20.88.10 07:56, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

Main image

Do we have any candidates for a new main image? A screenshot that includes his son might not be the best choice. Are there any good shots of him that are of his full body? A comic book scan, maybe? A Earl Norem book? --ItsWalky 01:29, 21 August 2010 (EDT)

Could we just crop Spike out of the picture? --Khajidha 10:31, 21 August 2010 (EDT)
