Spiders are a form of Cybertronic Wildlife from the War for Cybertron portion of the Transformers: Prime Continuity family

Spiders are creatures that scuttle along the ground and attack Autobots. The creatures are analogous to the spiders on Earth but unlike most Earthly spiders, Cybertronian spiders travel in groups. They glow a bright purple color, denoting possible Dark Energon corruption. They are loyal to Decepticons.

Spiders scuttle around in the depths of the Kaon Prisons. When Bumblebee, Optimus and Sideswipe escaped with the help of Air Raid, they continued along through a spider and Cloaker infested area. The trio found they could simply squash the pesky arachnids underfoot and continued on.

Later, in the fight against Trypticon, the giant reptilian robot sent the spiders after the Autobots in a large cluster, only to have them simply swatted away. Transformers: War for Cybertron

Notes

• In the first few waves of Autobot Escalation, only spiders and low level Decepticon grunts are sent to attack you. You can tear right through them and the spiders stop coming after the second wave.
