Fiction
Marvel comics continuity
Goldbug, Slapdash, Joyride, and Getaway travelled to Nebulos to find appropriate facilities to rebuild Optimus Prime. However, Dreadwing had arrived much earlier and was terrorizing the planet with its Powermaster-fueled might. People Power!

At the notoriously robophobic Grand Central Space Station, Dreadwing (erroneously called "Darkwind") remained in vehicle mode and doesn't speak, to avoid attracting hostile attention. Dreadwing assisted Hi-Test and Throttle in their scheme of capturing robots to deliver to the Mecannibals, including Landmine and Cloudburst. Guess Who the Mecannibals Are Having for Dinner?
Later, Dreadwing and the Nebulans attacked those selfsame Autobot Pretenders as they traveled from Femax back to the Station, but they were surprised and defeated by Sky Lynx. They ended up on the run from the Mecannibals when the Autobots spilled the beans about Dreadwing being a pair of (presumably tasty) robots. Recipe for Disaster!
Fireflight and Skydive were in pursuit Dreadwing when they accidentally shot him down over the ocean. Their mission was to recover a power cell that Throttle had stole, but now it will have to be recovered from under the water. Dreadwing remained disabled while the Autobots took the power cell and left.' Dreadwing Down!
Some time after, Dreadwing destroyed the Autobot Getaway on Klo, almost flying into a cliff in the process. End of the Road!
