Frustrated by his inability to transform, and ashamed of his uselessness, Rattrap makes a deal with the devil.

Summary
Optimus Primal, still exhausted after Nightscream recent reformatting, awakens from a dream and is informed by Blackarachnia that Rattrap is on a recon mission with Cheetor and Rattrap. Rattrap, Nightscream and Cheetor are being attacked by Aero Drones and Tank Drones, since Rattrap still is unable to transform Cheetor orders him go and download the data from the computers. All this takes place with Megatron watching, a Drone warns Megatron that the DNA purge is still in its experimental stage, this is going to eliminate Megatron’s beast mode but Megatron wants to go ahead with the treatment before the maximals discover another “mongral beast”.
Back with Cheetor fighting of bike drones Nightscream uses his Sonic powers and discovers that if they attack Thrust the drones stop operating, this theory is put to the test with Tankor. Rattrap observing from the computer above transforms successfully, and being eager to help, swings into action as Nightscream and Cheetor are attempting to disable Tankor and Jetstorm. This causes the machinery to start operating and building more Tank Drones at a faster and faster rate. Rattrap realises his Robot form is unarmed so he is unable to help in the battle.
Megatron seeing this decides to take control of all the Drones himself. Rattrap in an attempt to stop the manufacture of the drones links himself into the main computer only to be a sitting target for an attack by some Megatron controlled Aero Drones. The resulting feedback travels along the power cables and causes a system failure and the total destruction of the manufacturing plant and a power cut for the whole sector. On their way back to their base Cheetor and Nightscream harshly reprimand Rattrap for not following orders, Rattrap is complaining to a sleeping Optimus Primal about his robot mode where the others appear. Cheetor knocks Rattrap to the ground ordering him to transform to beast mode, this jolt to Rattraps system causes him to realise Megatron is weak as he replays vital stats he downloaded earlier. Rattrap overhears Blackarachnia, Cheetor and Nightscream discussing what to do with him and how he is such a burden with his useless robot mode so he leaves the base.
Megatron is being told the extent of the damage caused by the feedback earlier. Rattrap turns up to work a deal saying he wants to be installed with “noisemakers” Megatron and Rattrap work out a deal which involves Rattrap defending Megatron for one night when he is at his weakest if anything happens to Megatron, Rattrap forfits his weaponery. Cheetor, Nightscream and Blackarachnia arrive to rescue Rattrap so Rattrap has to honour his word with Megatron and attacks his friends. While this is happening Megatron returns to full strength, Optimus Primal arrives still exhausted and asks Rattrap to look inside himself, as he is stronger than everyone knows.
Megatron asks Rattrap to to attack Optimus Primal but Rattrap reiterates the terms of the deal and informs Megatron the solar cycle is over and for Megatron to keep his end of the deal, which he does. The Maximals leave while Megatron vowes to his drone that they shall Liberate the Maximal’s sparks another day.
