Lightbright (Animated)

Lightbright is an Autobot from the Transformers Animated continuity family.

"I'm the one who doesn't look like a teddy-bear."

Lightbright is a search and rescue bot who transforms into a dual-purpose hovercraft/submersible. She draws her name from the powerful light emitters that aid her in scouring low lit areas for Autobots in need and lost items of importance. She is evidently quite charming.

She was among the Autobots going about their day when Captain Fanzone was accidentally transwarped to Cybertron. She seemed too engrossed in the conversation she was having with Carrera to pay any attention. This Is Why I Hate Machines Lickety-Split and Lightbright were seen in a crowd among cheering Cybertronian civilians when Optimus Prime's crew came to Cybertron with several captive Decepticons including Megatron. Endgame, Part II

Notes

• Lightbright might take her name from a Hasbro product called Lite-Brite, albeit with better spelling.

• Her appearance seems to be based on Ruto, the Zora princess from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Being based on a fish-girl also seems to have some basis in her water-based alternate mode.
