We can all recognize Prime, but who is that other guy? Is that supposed to be Blitzwing's crazy face?

Halloween is an Earth holiday in which humans dress up in strange outfits that make them look like other people or things. It is usually celebrated on October 31, and is a ritual to celebrate the end of Summer which started in Ireland many centuries ago, although it has evolved significantly since then.

Fiction

Legends anthology

Carlos, Rad and Alexis attempted to explain Halloween to their Mini-Con friends, and ended up resorting to taking the trio Trick-or-Treating with them. The Mini-Cons were confused by the human custom, and the way that Rad explained that they could "t.p." houses which didn't give out candy, but soon got into the spirit of the holiday. As a mark of their veneration of their human friends, the Mini-Cons took the tradition back to Cybertron with them, and thousands of years later, the Mini-Cons still went out Trick-or-Treating on Halloween. Toys

Universe (2003)

  • Nightprowler Vs. Waspinator(Halloween Horrorcon value pack, unreleased)
”Wazzpinator want candy.”
For a brief time, Hasbro's official website checklist featured listings for two "Halloween Horrorcon Value Packs" that were to be Wal-Mart exclusives... which also likely explains why they were canceled. (Wal-Mart had taken a good half-dozen exclusives and released them more-or-less simultaneously, leading to a huge glut. A lot of other Transformers exclusives were canceled during the Universe era.)
In 2004, several test-shots appeared on eBay in a group, among them the Transmetal Waspinator toy with opaque-salmon wings and lavender insect legs. This, presumably, was to have been the Universe incarnation of Waspinator, as the other toys in the group line up with the names given for the two Halloween sets. He was to come in a "Vs." two-pack with the presumably-Autobot character Nightprowler.

    • Accessories: Launcher, 4 leg-missiles
Among the 2004 group of eBay test-shots was also a redeco of the original Beast Wars Tarantulas/Blackarachnia mold in black with silver spider-legs and salmon-colored robot parts. This set was the "Leatherhide Vs. Blackarachnia” Value Pack

  • Donald Duck Holiday Vehicle Halloween Version (September 25 2010)
    • Accessories: Rocket-surfboard.

Notes

Halloween, circa 1986.
  • The comic issue "Ghosts" was advertised as a "Halloween Special Edition".
  • There have been Transformers costumes over the years. Noteable examples include:
    • The 1986 Collegeville Costumes line featured several Transformers Halloween costumes and masks for children. The masks were made of flat styrofoam and included a hinge to flip the mask up and down. The costumes consisted of a vinyl one-piece smock and a simple plastic mask with an elastic band.
    • For 2010, Several companies came out with different types of Transformers-based costumes for children and adults (including sassy versions of Optimus Prime and Bumblebee for adult women).
