Gottlieb is an ocean-side town on the planet Pequod. It has a thriving vacation tourist trade, and city officials who aren't going to let that lucrative trade be threatened by any pesky killer monsters or civil servants who don't know when to keep their mouths shut. Deadly Obsession

• Gottlieb is named for Carl Gottlieb, the Oscar-winning screenwriter who re-drafted the 1975 film Jaws during production. The name would roughly translate to "Godbeloved", by the way.
