Greasestain was among the Junkions that attacked the Autobots stranded on their planet, until the arrival of Hot Rod's party. The young Autobot's offering of the universal greeting and an energon goodie was well-received by the Junkions, who enthusiastically repeated the greeting.

To return the feelings of goodwill, the Junkions offered to restore Ultra Magnus to life. Greasestain was part of the group which brought together his remains for repairs.

During the fight against Unicron, Greasestain hastened to make repairs on the Minnow after it had been blasted by the Chaos Bringer. The Transformers: The Movie
