- Darkwings is a Decepticon from the Super-God Masterforce portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Darkwings is the combined vehicle form of Hydra and Buster. Darkwings' maximum speed can reach Mach 30. Darkwings can perform "Chōkon Wing Thunder Hurricane" by using Chōkon Power. After Hydra and Buster become robotic beings, Darkwings is able to perform "Mach X Flight." Hydra and Buster accidentally discovered the combined form during a brawl.[1]

Hydra and Buster used this form for the first time when they battled the Pretenders and Headmaster Jouniors. They defeated them but they retreated. They blamed Blood for this who was not very happy about the Godmaster brothers being in the army. Super Warriors - The Godmaster Brothers
After some time Hydra and Buster gave up their humanity to become full robotic beings with Devil Z's help to defeated God Ginrai. This eliminated their Jinchōkon Power but was replaced by Devil Power. However they were still not able to defeat Ginrai. Battle to the Death!! God Ginrai VS Darkwings Reborn
The Godmaster Brothers used Darkwings again at their full power with thier Mach X Flight. But were still defeated by God Ginrai. Malevolent and Inhuman! The True Form of Devil Z
After Hydra and Buster tossed aside by Devil Z for thier failure they were forced to battle Lightfoot, Ranger and Road King. But they were outmached and used Darkwings to retreat.
After Devil Z's death the Godmasters and Headmasters seperated from their Transectors bu since Hydra and Buster were merged with thier Transectors they remained connected to them. They retreated to space with the living Transectors of Overlord, Cancer, Wilder, Bullhorn and Clouder A Battle... and Then...

- Darkwings is formed by combining the individual toys of Hydra and Buster. Once their Godmaster engines are plugged in, the two jets can be combined to form a single "superjet."
- An alternate-color version of Darkwings could also be made with the individual mail-order "Hydra Darkwing" and "Buster Dreadwing" toys. This version is identical to Dreadwing, the combination of Darkwing and Dreadwinf.
- Darkwings (Multi-pack, 1988)
- Japanese ID number: D-306
- A special multi-pack containing both Hydra and Buster was released in Japan. The two toys are identical to their normal-retail individual releases.
