Errors
- The issues seem to have been recoloured with reference to the original since some of the weird mistakes, like Ratchet's strange red/blue look are similar if more extreme.
- It seems that the publishers had the black printing plates rather than the actual lineart to colour, since parts of the original that are yellow lines are missing! This leads to instances where characters stare at empty spaces, and voice bubbles come out of thin air (this mostly affects instances of characters transforming).
Items of note
- This is the first issue of the bimonthly German Transformer comic, containing a rather strangely put together amalgamation of several US issues. Rather than start at the beginning, we start midway through the second opening story arc.
- The reprints within have been recoloured. This is a practise that will last for the first few issues until UK stories are used.
- Buster abruptly becomes ginger thanks to the recolouring!
- A competition on the back page promises the reader a chance to win one of 20 Transformer figure sets, or (presumably one of) 500 Transformers action figures. The answer to the question is Optimus Prime but this knowledge will do you no good unless you can travel back to 1989.
- The Germans REALLY love Powermaster Optimus Prime. The opening editorial claims that he is the Prime in the comic. Well, his head DOES come off...
Advertisements
- A large photo of Powermaster Optimus Prime advertises the Transformers cartoon showing in April.
- The exact same large photo of Powermaster Optimus Prime advertises the Super-Transformers-Club. Take that TFCC!
- A second advert for the Super-Transformers-Club featuring Getaway, Joyride, Sizzle, Landmine and (yes) Powermaster Optimus Prime
