So, uh.....should we have a "Decepticon Warlords" category now? ---Blackout- 14:53, 1 November 2010 (EDT)
Identifiers
A few characters from the WOH continuity are disambed with (Timelines) (Bishop, Thunderblast), others with (G1). Shouldn't it all be (Timelines), or at least the same? I know Crossblades and Stilletto have (BW) identifiers, which I don't get seeing as others like them get a (Timelines) label too. And otherwise, would (WOH) be an acceptable identifier? - Absolutely no to "(WOH)". —Interrobang 14:25, 17 December 2010 (EST)
- And going by the "(TransTech)" and "(SG)" precedent, It would seem that we send most Timelines dudes to the franchise they "belong" to. But we're still not very consistent.
- The exceptions are:
- Astrotrain (Timelines) (toy)
- Bishop (Timelines) (fiction)
- Buzzclaw (Timelines) (toy)
- Cop-Tur (Timelines) (toy)
- Flareup (Timelines) (toy)
- Landquake (Timelines) (toy, no franchise to "belong" to)
- We also have Ricochet (Descent into Evil), which would conflict with Ricochet (Nebulan) if moved to (G1). —Interrobang 16:34, 17 December 2010 (EST)
- Bishop's problem is that there's already a G1 human named Bishop. So if we can't use "WOH", then... uh. Since he's not "Timelines", because he doesn't have a toy, and the magazine comics technically aren't Timelines fiction. --67.252.49.31 16:39, 17 December 2010 (EST)
- I'm against "(WOH)" as a franchise identifier in place of "(G1)" or "(Timelines)", not as further disambiguation within a franchise. Seems to me that WOH Bishop could be "(Transformer)" and Dreamwave Bishop could be "(human)"; better parallel disambiguation tags. And yes, the comics not being Timelines is something to keep in consideration. —Interrobang 17:01, 17 December 2010 (EST)
- I thought the reason for (TransTech) and (SG) was that TransTech and Shattered Glass are considered franchises/continuity families on their own within the continuity mix that is Timelines, and that therefore they can be used as identifiers in Timelines's stead, whereas other f/cf's are only for a very, very small portion part of Timelines. Due to the fact that we have a WOH continuity page, I wasn't entirely sure whether Wings of Honor was a subfrachise name (a la Kiss Players) or merely a useful way to identify an otherwise nameless G1 continuity with. In the first case, (WOH) would be the appropriate identifier, in the second (Timelines). Or at least, that's how I understand it. Geewunling 03:10, 18 December 2010 (EST)
- So... should/can I move them all to (Timelines)? Geewunling 16:00, 20 December 2010 (EST)
