Isamu Tanonaka

Isamu Tanonaka (田の中 勇 Tanonaka Isamu, July 19 1932 – January 13 2010) was a Japanese voice actor. He is probably best known for routinely playing Medama-oyaji in every single incarnation of GeGeGe no Kitarō, a long-running Japanese franchise which has spawned five TV anime series and numerous movies since 1968. He also played Gara in Dr. Slump and was the Japanese dub voice for Jar Jar Binks in Star Wars.
In January 2010, at the age of 77, Tanonaka passed away following a heart attack.
