When the Autobots in the Ark were contacted by future leader Rodimus Prime to inform them that Optimus Prime had been kidnapped, Groundshaker mobilised the Autobots to search for their missing leader.
Groundshaker and his comrades were ambushed by Decepticon Action Masters during their search, which scared Groundshaker quite a bit. He, along with the other Pretenders and the Micromaster Combiners, stormed the Decepticon base and rescued Prime. The Case of Optimus Prime
Notes
- Groundshaker's only apperance is in the above text story. He is said to be an Ultra-Pretender. Is this Groundshaker the Micromaster who has gained a Pretender shell (unlikely, Micromasters have never been individually named in the text stories), Skyhammer misnamed (Skyhammer had appeared as 'Skyhammer' in previous stories however), Groundbreaker (very unlikely since he was not on sale in Germany and the writer would not have been aware of him) or a new character? For the purposes of the wiki, and for the reasons given, he will be classed as a new character until Condor Verlag publish more Transformers fiction to clear up this conundrum!
- As an Ultra Pretender, Groundshaker would have had a (presumably) humanoid Pretender shell that can transform, and a larger vehicle shell that it would fit into. We don't know what he would have turned into, though one can expect that it would shake the ground. Given the Autobot's dislike of flight modes in this continuity[1], it is unlikely he would fly like his fellow Ultra Pretender Skyhammer.
- ↑ A Big Day for Powermaster Optimus Prime states that the Autobots "unanimously made the decision that flight modes provoke a demonstration of power, and so are not desirable for Autobots"
