Starscream Not-So-Treacherous?

In the US Marvel comic continuity, prior to this point, had Starscream ever explictly betrayed Megatron? He's been a treacherous swine to Ratbat, Shockwave, Scorponok, et cetera, but given Meg's low profile in the US comic, I'm not sure Starscream ever actually betrayed him. Anyone?

And while I'm asking, is the answer different for the UK continuity? JW 17:26, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

In the UK yes. In The Enemy Within! Starscream plots to overthrow Megatron and attacks Ravage in the process and is nearly executed for his crimes. Later in Target: 2006 Starscream betrays Megatron to Galvatron and takes great pleasure in shooting Megatron down.
In the US comic I think Starscream is only under Megatron's command in issues 1-4, 18-19, and although Starscream doesn't conceal his ambition there's not enough time for him to betray Megatron on either occasion. Timrollpickering 06:49, 14 July 2009 (EDT)
Not to mention, the 1986 Movie is in continuity for (some of) the UK stories. News of Starscream's betrayal made it to a few bots in Target: 2006 and others may have known. I was going to say that Megatron had heard about it, but then I remembered that the Megatron who talked about it with Galvatron was the one who was really Straxus. They don't make it easy for us, do they? :) --MissRatbat 06:51, 15 January 2011 (EST)
