The Mini-Cons of village C52 used a Filtrek-A forceshield to protect themselves against the upcoming Decepticon attack. It didn't work, and when the Autobots came to investigate the village's ruins, Red Alert tactfully noted it was no surprise the Mini-Cons had been captured with such ancient technology; They should have used the new Filtrek-H model, which had twice the energon density and three times the radiance.
