Brimstone is a Jungle Planet Decepticon from the Cybertron portion of the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.
DEATH FROM ABOVE!! DEATH FROM ABOVE!!

Brimstone isn't much for thinking. He's more comfortable taking orders from his leader Scourge, but when left on his own, would rather simply follow Undermine's lead. He really enjoys his position as one of Scourge's right-claw mechs, since it gives him an unrivaled opportunity to beat people up without reprisal.

About the only thing Brimstone's brain is good for is playing Praxus Fold 'Em. He and Undermine typically play during quiet nights in the Jungle Temple, with chores as the high stakes.

Brimstone was a denizen of Jungle Planet, one of Scourge's acolytes who joined him during his quest to enforce peace on Jungle Planet by any means necessary. Honor In the present, he attended to Scourge's needs at the Jungle Temple. Although Brimstone missed Megatron's arrival, he was present to observe a sparring match between Megatron and Scourge, and was impressed by the Decepticon's control and power. Deep Later, Brimstone was going for a walk in the park with his friends when some loudmouthed Humvee had to challenge Scourge's strength. Never a good idea. Race Brimstone and Undermine watched eagerly as Scourge pounded on Overhaul and didn't notice Snarl sneak off to help the interloper. When Overhaul returned for a second match, Scourge initially said he couldn't be bothered to fight the Autobot. He changed his tune after Brimstone and Undermine were battered aside by Overhaul as proof of his worthiness in battle. Detour

When Optimus Prime arrived on Jungle Planet, Brimstone journeyed out to confront the Autobot leader with Scourge. Unwilling to negotiate with anyone who hadn't proved their strength in battle, Scourge demanded that the Autobots and Decepticons fight before he heard any more about the Cyber Planet Key quest. Brimstone and Undermine kept Snarl and Backstop out of the contest at first, but soon it broke into a free-for-all with the Jungle Planet residents each aiding the Autobot and Decepticon camps. Savage As Scourge's entourage met the Autobots again in a narrow canyon, Brimstone matched his vanadium wing blades against Backstop's horn. Sand

As Optimus Prime came to Scourge's temple to once again ask for the Cyber Planet Key, Brimstone watched guardedly from the sidelines. The Jungle Planet warriors openly mocked Optimus for his refusal to fight for what he wanted and for battling with his own arm in Savage Claw Mode, as Leobreaker bristled for combat. Later on, Brimstone and Undermine tried to prevent Backstop from entering the temple until Scourge granted his old sensei an audience. It seemed Optimus Prime had changed his mind and would now meet Scourge for battle at a time and place of his choosing. Honor Brimstone and Undermine aided Scourge as he began to train vigorously for the match. He had himself chained to the temple pillars while still fighting off attacks by his subordinates. Eventually, Brimstone and Undermine called it quits, because even a handicapped Scourge was too much for them. Once Prime arrived at the temple, he introduced them to the ambassadors from other worlds threatened by the black hole: Override of Velocitron and Lori of Earth. Brimstone was curious about the pint-sized creature and moved in for a closer look. Primal

After Optimus Prime defeated Scourge in battle, he claimed the Cyber Planet Key, but allowed Scourge to remain the ruler of Jungle Planet. Scourge, Brimstone and Undermine remained uninvolved in the conflict that followed as the Decepticons attempted to steal back the Cyber Planet Key from the Autobots. Trust

As Primus continued his efforts to hold back the expansion of the black hole, Brimstone, Undermine and Backstop were seen warily regarding the singularity from Jungle Planet. City The black hole's spatial turbulence had begun to upset the local weather and environment of various planets it threatened. On the already unstable Jungle Planet, the effects were even more pronounced, and Brimstone had trouble even staying aloft during a massive monsoon. He was struck by lightning in mid-air and would've tumbled into an open lava vein if Backstop hadn't leapt over the crevasse and caught him as he fell. Brimstone gave thanks to the elderly rhinoceros, but mused darkly about whether he'd ever get the chance to return the favor before the universe came to an end. Challenge

When Galvatron claimed the full power of the Omega Lock and the four Cyber Planet Keys, he communed with the black hole itself and decided to make Jungle Planet his first target. Tendrils of dark energy pulled the entire planet through the Space Bridge to the site of the black hole. This had cataclysmic results for the planet, and Brimstone passed along the favor Backstop did him earlier by saving Undermine from a nasty fall into the lava. (He did drop a few snarky comments about the spinosaurus's weight, though.) All was not lost, however, as Scourge returned to lead his people to safety, and they escaped the dying planet aboard the Ogygia and the newly rediscovered starship of Jungle Planet, the Hyperborea. Scourge rallied Brimstone and his warrior-like people to the Autobot cause, and they all pledged themselves to defend Cybertron and the universe at Optimus Prime's command. Homecoming

It's Jurassic Park 3 all over again!

In the fight against Galvatron's minions, Brimstone and Undermine attacked the super-sized Thunderblast. They might have stood a chance if they hadn't called her a cow. A boy cow. Not smart. End After Galvatron was defeated and the black hole closed, Brimstone and the denizens of Jungle Planet worked alongside the Autobots to construct planetary thrusters to move their world back through the Space Bridge and into its normal orbit again. Unfinished

Life after the black hole settled into a new routine. A championship of strength was held to re-establish the proper leadership of Jungle Planet, and Brimstone and Undermine cheered from the sidelines as Scourge defeated Leobreaker and rescued his rule of their homeworld. They were slightly chagrined, however, when they heard Scourge declare there would be no more meaningless fighting. Perhaps at Scourge's request, Brimstone joined the Space Bridge project aboard the Lemuria under Metroplex's command, representing Jungle Planet. Although he still seemed a bit contemptuous of those who couldn't fly, Brimstone allowed himself to be shooed away by Red Alert and joined up with Undermine before the launch of the starships towards their new destiny. Has foot-in-mouth by design.
  • Brimstone (Deluxe class, 2005)
    • Japanese ID number: GD-10
    • Accessories: Jungle Cyber Planet Key
As part of the Jungle Planet theme, Brimstone transforms into a robotic Pteranodon. Plugging a Cyber Planet Key into his back releases a pair of spring-loaded blades from his wings, a gimmick available in both modes. He comes with a silver-border Jungle-type Cyber Planet Key; the Hasbro version has the Key Code "d0h3" stamped on the back.
The Takara and Hasbro versions have a variety of small color differences, largely in the realm of different shades of the same colors.
  • Sideways, Brimstone, Thunderblast ("Value Pack", 2005)
Brimstone was also available in a Toys "R" Us exclusive "Value Pack" alongside Sideways and Thunderblast; all three normally-carded toys were put in a large cardboard "sleeve" that let the bubbles stick out. This set retailed for $29.99... and since Deluxes were $9.99... not much of a "value" there.
