- Ruination is a Decepticon from the Revenge of the Fallen franchise in the live-action film continuity family.
Ruination is an Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft. He was among several Decepticons who found their way to Earth in answer to a call from Starscream.

The Veiled Threat
A NEST unit that was investigating a Decepticon sighting in Peru was ambushed on a narrow mountain road by Ruination and Blademaster. During the brief but intense fire-fight that followed, Blademaster was critically injured and fell from the mountain road hundreds of meters to the jungle below. Ruination broke off his attack to retrieve his partner and went off to heal his wounds. The Veiled Threat
IDW Dark of the Moon comics
After the Decepticons' defeat in Egypt, Ruination stuck by Starscream and joined him in his new endeavour: selling Cybertronian weapons to humans. Together with Deadlift, Ruination stood guard at Starscream's base in a junkyard outside Mexico City, but when Shockwave approached, the pair abandoned their posts in alarm to alert their boss. Ruination proved wiser than his little buddy, keeping out of the altercation between Starscream and Shockwave for fear of being blown to bits like Deadlift was. Rising Storm #1
Notes
- The Veiled Threat described Ruination as similar to the Decepticon Incinerator. Artist Carlos Magno redesigned him a bit for Rising Storm, but he was still visibly a helicopter.
