Published in TV Magazine between August, 1987, and March, 1988, The Transformers: The Headmasters (トランスフォーマー ザ★ヘッドマースターズ) manga acted as a supplement to its corresponding TV series just like the mangas which came before it. Perhaps the most notable aspect of the comic is that it was the only major piece of media to use the different names for the Headmasters' heads that featured in the Japanese toyline.
