As hordes of humans take a visit to Autobot City, Galvatron suddenly attacks full force with Trypticon!

Synopsis

At Autobot City, Ultra Magnus is giving a tour to a group of human families, all of whom are very impressed. Inside, the tourists receive a special message broadcast from outer space by Supreme Commander Rodimus Prime himself (which sends a little blonde girl into swooning fits of glee). Rodimus begins to tell the humans that because the Transformers live on Earth, too, they want to help keep the planet safe.

His message of peace and brotherhood is interrupted, however, by a sudden attack from Trypticon (what, nobody noticed him until he was at the front door?). To counter this, Ultra Magnus orders Autobot City to transform into Metroplex. The humans inside hold on tight as Trypticon lays Metroplex out with his Duel Plasma Cannons. Trypticon then head-butts him with his "Dino-Head Attack".

Full-Tilt Boogie.

Stunned, Metroplex unleashes his City Warrior, Scamper. Before Scamper can accomplish anything meaningful, Trypticon launches Full-Tilt from his chest, who thoroughly trounces Scamper. With Metroplex down on his hands and knees, Trypticon transforms to Battle City formation and unleashes his Dinoblasters.

Things look bad until Metroplex transforms into his own Battle City formation and launches his Scramble Missiles. Infuriated, Full-Tilt breaks out the Decepticons' newest weapon: the Brunt Tank. Before he can fire, though, Metroplex's six primary guns detach, rise into the sky and unite to form the United City Warrior: Six-Gun.

Despite being made entirely out of guns, Six-Gun chooses to back-hand Full-Tilt and seize control of the Brunt Tank. He then fires the Brunt Tank at Trypticon, destroying the Decepticon City's Head Controls and forcing Galvatron to call a retreat.

With the battle won, Rodimus Prime finally arrives on Earth with Arcee and Kup and proceeds to congratulate Ultra Magnus and the Autobot City team for a job well done.

Notes

  • While this issue makes it a point to showcase both the Autobot and Decepticon City Transformers, Slammer is oddly absent from the story while every other component warrior is heavily featured.
  • The way that little blonde girl keeps swooning over Rodimus Prime, you'd think she wanted to be his Kiss Player or something...
  • So apparently "holding on tight" is enough to keep the humans and Transformers inside Metroplex from flying in every direction when the Autobot City jumps, punches, rolls over and transforms.
